YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

As a Material Controller, you will have the overall responsibility for optimizing inventory levels of purchased materials and act as the link between orders, logistics, and purchasing. You will work closely with planning and production to ensure that materials are available at the right time to support the production plan. You will be part of the planning and preparation team.

Examples of tasks:

  • Be the contact person between purchasing and planning to ensure timely delivery

  • Optimize inventory levels of purchased materials

  • Support planning in daily operations through follow-up of purchased materials

  • Calculate material needs in the short and long term to optimize capital tied up in inventory

  • Be responsible for low rotation products and handling of materials from external warehouses

  • Establish, develop, and anchor routines, instructions, and working methods within material management

  • Participate in projects and improvement work related to material management

  • Set tactical plans for material management together with the Team Leader Order

The position is located in Karlsborg and reports to the Order and Logistics Manager.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are looking for someone who thrives in a role where structure, analysis, and collaboration are at the center, and who wants to contribute to stable, efficient, and quality-assured material flows.

You have:

  • Experience working in business systems/ERP with a focus on logistics and purchasing

  • At least 3 years of independent work in purchasing

  • Experience from manufacturing or process industry

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement processes

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English

  • Good knowledge of MS Office

Preferred qualifications:

  • University degree in logistics, purchasing, or equivalent

  • Experience in projects and improvement work in collaboration between operations and purchasing

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and communicative. You are driven, solution-oriented, and can work independently while collaborating across functions to achieve business goals.
